Ardagh redesigns Lomza Brewery beer bottle

Published 19 July 2017

Packaging solutions provider Ardagh Group has designed a sleek bottle for Łomża Brewery's Jasne beer.

Ardagh embossed the neck of the bottle with the brewery’s logo, reflecting Lomza brand’s history.

The company’s designers worked on several bottle designs to meet Lomza Brewery’s criteria, before the final design was selected.

Roman Sobecki from the design department of Ardagh OEG Design, Gostyn glassworks, said: "The bottle’s fresh look is achieved using two design techniques: traditional embossing and debossing.  It has a 500ml capacity and is tall and imposing, giving it real shelf stand-out."

Lomza’s brand owner Van Pur brand marketing manager Maciej Dymalski said: “Lomza beer has been on the market for 49 years. During that time, we have gained a well-established position in the beer market and have captured the hearts of successive generations of beer lovers.

”The new communication strategy shows that we listen to our consumers and are responding with a stunning, premiumised new bottle."

Maciej Dymalski claims that Lomza beer is an alternative to both mass market beers and craft beers. He stated that the brewery uses traditional brewing that can guarantee quality product. And, that the brewery does not mass produce its beers, nor do they add too many complications to the brewing process, as some craft beers do.

Van Pur wants to make Lomza, the best regional beer in Poland. The redesign of the bottle is a response to what customers are looking out in its beers.
